NOAH THE MUSICAL
One man, One Boat, The Survival of Life
An inspired retelling of the epic story: Noah.
Music and Lyrics by Ian Gower and Rob Alderton
http://www.noahthemusical.co.uk/
From the Old Testament, the story of Noah's Ark and the great flood is one which transcends time.
In this new adaptation, Noah tries to warn the evil and stubborn council of Baasha that the wicked ways of man must stop. A day of reckoning, in the form of an almighty storm, is forecast, but the council fail to take any action. Noah and his family are told by God's messenger, Stella (story teller) to construct the great Ark and fill it with two from every species. Chaos and hysteria ensue as Noah and his family attempt to board the assembled menagerie. Finally the floating zoo embarks on its epic voyage, but those who ignored the warnings are left behind and drown, including a repentant Baasha. When the tide finally recedes, Noah sends a dove and a raven in search of land. The dove returns with evidence - an olive branch. As the Ark comes to rest, the sky is filled by a rainbow - a symbolic reminder for mankind not to repeat his sinful ways.
Noah The Musical - A journey of comedy, tragedy, suffering and hope.
